LibraryThing

Thanks to the our Advance Blogging course that Reference Staff provide, I was able to build the LibraryThing search widget, change the width and background colour. Next time we are running this course, consider coming.

Technorati

This is a great source of information. The advance feature made it possible to refine my searching. I found a lot of useful YouTubes and blogs to assist with client training eg creating Google Docs, iGoogle etc.

Delicilous

I already had a Delicious account unfortuately because I hadn't used it for a long time, I had to creat a new one....... :) I can see Delicious be of value for some.

Twitter, blogging and iGoogle

Finally got Twitter and my blog chatting to each other and Twitter updates on my iGoogle.

RSS feeds

now to RSS feeds and wikis..... as if I don't have enough to do

Facebook

I already have a facebook account and providing client training for Reference Services. We are currently developing advanced sessions to offer to clients.

When we are training clients, Elli and I have to different facebook accounts. Elli's is open to everyone as it promotes her professional dancing while mine has privacy restrictions. We our facebooks accounts to illustrate the levels of access to personal information. Because my of my background, privacy is very important. Anyone searching for my name will not have a nil result.

If you would like to access my account, please feel free to contact me.

Twitter

Added my blog to my Twitter profile. Now all I have to do is figure out how to add Twitter to my blog. Causing headaches......

iGoogle

I have set up my iGoogle account and customised my own webpages by adding themes. There are a number of great gadgets and you can even create your own. My favourite gadget is the Google Reader. The Reader automatically connects to my blog, youtube, gmail etc and provides one single viewing point. This eliminates problem of having to use multiple sign ins.

Little Miss Neat
Little Miss Neat is the third book in the Little Miss series. Little Miss Neat is as neat as two pins, and lives in Twopin Cottage. When she goes on holiday, Mr. Muddle comes to visit her house with nobody home. He makes a cup of tea, putting everything back in the wrong place. When Little Miss Neat comes home, she can't find anything, and when she sits in a chair, she is pricked by forks, knives, and spoons that Mr. Muddle placed there. "I don't think Little Miss Neat will be taking a holiday next year. Do you?"

Little Miss Naughty

Little Miss Naughty - the story

"Little Miss Naughty was naughty all the time. One Sunday she awoke and grinned to herself. Looks like a nice day to be naughty she said. That Sunday Little Miss Naughty knocked Mr Uppity's hat off his head and jumped on it, broke Mr Clever's glasses and ran off with Mr Bump's bandages before bandaging up Mr Small.
As you can imagine Mr Uppity, Mr Clever, Mr Bump and Mr Small were not happy and so on Monday morning they all got together to figure out what to do. Despite being the cleverest Mr Clever had no idea what they could do but luckily for them Mr Small did. What would his idea be and would it cure Little Miss Naughty of her naughtiness?"

Can you guess what the cure was?

Little Miss Characters were created by RogerHargraves. There are 42 in the series however only 33 are published in English. In 1981, thirteen Little Misses appear in books - Little Misses Bossy, Naughty, Neat, Sunshine, Tiny, Trouble, Helpful, Magic, Shy, Splendid, Late, Scatterbrain and Greedy.
Little Miss Bossy - the story
"The story starts on Monday, Little Miss Bossy is going for a walk and she meets Mr Nosey who she is very rude to, on Tuesday she meets Mr Noisy who she tells to shut up, on Wednesday she meets Mr Happy and tells him to stop smiling, all this rudeness didn't make her very popular. The wizard had seen Little Miss Bossy been rude and bossing these people around and started to think, when he got home he took a large book from his bookshelf and turned to the page that said 'HOW TO STOP PEOLE BEING BOSSY'. On Thursday Little Miss Bossy met Mr Lazy who was fast asleep and she shouted at him to wake up and prodded him in the belly. While this wqas happening the wizard is stood behind Little Miss Bossy and says something under his breath. Suddenly a pair of boots appeared on Little Miss Bossy's feet, the magic boots started marching Little Miss Bossy along, faster and faster and Little Miss Bossy couldn't stop them. The boots marched Little Miss Bossy for 5 miles and she was exhausted. When the boots finally stopped Little Miss Bossy tried to take them off but she couldn't, then along came the wizard. Little Miss Bossy started shouting at he wizard and telling him to take the boots off so the boots started marching again - this time for ten miles. When the boots stopped again the wizard came along and told Little Miss Bossy if she said the magic word he would make the boots go away, so she thought then said please. Again the wizard said something under his breath and the boots disappeared. The wizard told Little Miss Bossy she had to stop been so bossy or she knew what would happen and she nodded, after that Little Miss Bossy was a changed person."
